Glossary
- Median
- The middle value of a sorted list. Half the TVs cost less than it and half cost more; one very expensive TV does not pull it up.
- Spec sheet score
- Score from 0 to 10 that the Radar calculates from image, gaming, system, connections, audio e recency. It does not measure real contrast or durability.
- Native refresh rate
- How many times per second the screen refreshes the image from the factory, in Hz. Marketing rates, which add software effects, don’t count.
- HDMI 2.1
- The version of the port that carries 4K video at 120 frames per second from a new-generation console to the TV.
- OLED, QLED and Mini LED
- Three panel technologies. In OLED each dot lights up on its own; in QLED and Mini LED a backlight lights the screen, and Mini LED splits it into zones.

Frequently asked questions
What is the median price of a new TV today?
In the 05/11/2026 catalog, the median price is $648, across 315 new TVs from trusted sellers. Half cost less than that and half cost more.
How much does each score point cost?
Today’s collection doesn’t have enough TVs with a score to calculate this.
Why the median and not the average?
Because a few very expensive TVs pull the average up and hide the price most people pay. The median shows the TV in the middle.
How often does the overview change?
Every day, with each new collection. Each collection saves a snapshot of the price and score of each TV, and the "What changed" section compares today’s with the previous one and, when available, with the one from about a week earlier.

Where the numbers come from
Lowest price seen for the product on Amazon.com, shipped to New York 10001, on the day it was read, before sales tax. Median of each range calculated over the TVs in the range; the score only considers the TVs that have a score.
The overview describes the Radar catalog, not the whole TVs market, and the price is the one collected on the date shown.
